You should check out my "Chronicles" series. It involves experimental and orchestral forms, while telling a pretty intricate story. Far more in depth than the video game songs of mine that you listened to and liked. :-)
The "Chronicles" is labeled by numbers so you know what movement comes first. To understand the story you have to listen to them in the correct order. Right now I'm working on the third movement. So yea, it gets pretty in depth in a lot of ways.
